I was interested to see the photo of the Faversham station because I also have a copy. However, there is no record of my grandfather ever having been stationed in Faversham, according to your records. Could it be the other side of the county, perhaps Tonbridge ? And what of the man with the ball, apparently a civilian ? Why is he there ? What does he represent ?

This photo is a bit early for me, my uncle was a constable at Favershan in the 1901 census. how old did you have to to enlist? Frank Rubie Watson was 21 in 1901, could he have been in the force in 1898?Any record would be welcome. Regards Sheila Windsor.

Hilder B Capps received a presentation at Faversham in 1898. I guess this would have been for his retirement ? He was a Senior Superintendent. I wonder if he is in this photograph ?
